Info for You Don't Have To
For more than 8 months Viviane Kudo and her guitar player Jo Schultz have been working on new compositions. The resulting singer-songwriter program presents inventive and gorgeous songs, that accentuate the emotional and versatile singing of Viviane Kudo; sometimes the songs are kind of folky, sometimes they remind you of soul and sometimes they carry a fancy touch of jazz. The voice of Viviane Kudo radiates calmness and intensity at the same time. Together with the tuneful and rhythmically harmonious guitar playing of Jo Schultz it will give you an exciting listening experience.
The 22-year-old artist fine-tuned her debut album together with guitarist Jo Schultz. The CD features 12 songs which are highly individual in their own way, whether a deeply sad ballad, a wonderfully harmonious folk-pop number more than a slightly jazzy waltz duet.
Whenever you read or hear about Viviane Kudo, the daughter of a Japanese concert pianist and a German orchestra musician, the critics are agreed on her »beautiful, feeling and startling mature voice«, her »not ordinary, somtimes even magical songs« or on the unpretentious manner of the singer, who‘s only 21 years old. For example the NEUE OSNABRÜCKER ZEITUNG wrote: »When Viviane Kudo acts on a stage, everything seems to be easy. No posing, no grandstanding. She catches the audience alone with voice, charisma and joy at the music!«
'Enchanting voice, sympathic charism!' (NOZ)
