The Ensemble Providencia
is a vocal ensemble that specializes in music of the Middle Ages. The members of the ensemble primarily perform western polyphonic music of the 11th to 14th century and Gregorian Chant. Their artistic activity includes a constant research on sound diversity with particular attention to the texts of the repertoire, and most of all a strong will to present this music as a mean of expression for our contemporary world. The Ensemble Providencia has developed an activity of research and transcription of part of the unpublished medieval repertoire, and hence contributes to the rediscovery of music found in European manuscripts.
The ensemble's last creation, Terre de Saints, was notably given at the Lille Opera (Concerts du mercredi) and at the Musée National du Moyen Âge (Paris, Concerts du soir).
