Eduardo Peralta
is a troubador and “payador” (minstrel). Putting music to poetry, he adapted the works of classic French troubadours like Brassens (Francophones), and received his most important awards: the Grand Prix SACEM and the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres awards for his work. He has recorded a dozen CDs, and has taken part in more than 20 music anthologies; He has sung in more than 60 foreign cities, through 26 countries, and played over 120 town and cities throughout Chile. 15 years ago he started a music ritual that they still maintain at the Mesón Nerudiano Restaurant, in Barrio Bellavista, Santiago de Chile every Monday. There he has invited over 300 hundred artists to share, improvise, and play with words and repertoire. He is President of the Sociedad Chilena de Intérpretes (SCI, Chilean Society of Singers), which he representes at International Assemblies (Japan, Panama, Colombia, Netherland) and is also a member of the Directorio del Consejo Nacional de las Artes y la Cultura (CNCA, Board of the National Council of Arts and Culture)
