Deutsche Grammophon würdigt die Wiederentdeckung eines frühen Werks von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart mit der digitalen Veröffentlichung von drei Weltersteinspielungen.

Die Serenade in C KV 648 für zwei Violinen und Bass ist ein bisher unbekanntes Musikstück des Komponisten. Es wurde von Forschern der Internationalen Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg in der Sammlung Carl Ferdinand Becker der Musikbibliothek der Leipziger Städtischen Bibliotheken entdeckt, als sie an der Neuausgabe des Köchel-Verzeichnisses arbeiteten, dem Referenzwerk über das musikalische Schaffen Mozarts. Mozart schrieb die Musik, die aus sieben Miniatursätzen für Streichtrio besteht, in seinen frühen Jugendjahren, vermutlich Mitte bis Ende der 1760er-Jahre. Am 19. September 2024 stellte die Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg, die unter Leitung von Dr. Ulrich Leisinger das kulturelle Erbe Mozarts erforscht und bewahrt, das Stück der Öffentlichkeit vor.
