Bosch Big Band
The Bosch Big Band, founded in 2003, has a wide repertoire ranging from classics of the swing era, to earthy soul and funk titles, to cool Latin pieces.

The band shone at performances including at jazz galas with Jiggs Whigham, Silvia Droste and Bill Ramsey and on tours to Hungary and the USA.

With “My Favorite Things”, “In a Mellow Tone”, “All I Want for Christmas” and “Different Voices – Made in Germany”, the Bosch Big Band has now released four studio productions.

In 2020, the well-known saxophonist Prof. Matthias Anton took over the musical direction of the Bosch Big Band. Look forward to further musical highlights with us.

Matthias Anton
studied saxophone with Prof. Jürgen Seefelder at the Mannheim University of Music. This was followed by artistic training with Prof. Bernd Konrad at the University of Music & Performing Arts in Stuttgart. He played and worked with Peter Herbolzheimer, Jiggs Whigham, Ack Van Rooyen, Ramón Vallee, David Haynes, Jose Cortijo, Ruud Ouwehand, Michael Wollny, Eva Kruse, Andrew Strong, The Wright Thing, etc...

He also worked for the International Bach Academy Stuttgart, the State Philharmonic of Rhineland-Palatinate, the New Philharmonic of Berlin and the State Blasorchester NRW. He played in numerous big bands, including: BundesJazzOrchester, Glenn Miller Big Band, Swing Time Big Band, Big Band Convention, Summit Orchestra, HP Ockert Big Band, Stuttgart Jazz Orchestra, Contemporary Big Band Project, Latin Jazz Sinfónica, etc...

He has been an honorary professor since 2010 and professor of saxophone and big band conducting at the Trossingen State University of Music since 2021.

Matthias Anton is an endorser of the saxophone company Henri Selmer Paris, the mouthpiece company Theo Wanne Classical Mouthpieces and the leaf company Daddario-Woodwinds.
