Jeanette Hubert
Biography Jeanette Hubert
Jeanette Hubert is a German singer-songwriter.
At age 11 she composed her first song.
Four years later a borrowed guitar got her started in songwriting again.
Soon after her first guitar duo Ginger Nuts was formed (later on earning success as a four-piece band).
At age 19 Jeanette became the background singer for Pat McDonald’s third studio record, as well as for some of his live concerts.
When Ginger Nuts split in 2002, Jeanette continued to compose music. She started to produce and record herself, which led her to a deeper understanding of audio engineering, as well as light engineering for live events. She started freelancing as a stage technician.
At the same time she became very involved in cultural youth projects, encouraging teenagers to write their own music.
At age 23 Jeanette returned back to stage, e.g. as support act for American singer-songwriter David Poe.
Her next duo combination was with drummer Catrien Stremme. Together they won the talent advancement award in popular music from the Berlin senate in 2004. As a reward they recorded at a professional studio.
In 2006 Jeanette Hubert won the German EMERGENZA ACOUSTIC SHOWCASE and became runner-up in the European finals.
Jeanette Hubert performs in different combination, e.g. Duo (with Catrien Stremme on drums), solo or with full band.
Her debut album "On The Run" will be released and published by ozella music in 2012.
