Info for This Is My Dirt
Justin Moore is gearing up for the release of his eighth studio album, This Is My Dirt, out Oct. 11 via The Valory Music Co. Moore’s new song “The Worst (ft. Randy Houser)” is out now. The project’s title track is currently top 10 and climbing at country radio, and the album also includes rowdy and reflective collaborations with fellow hitmakers Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley.
Moore’s newest release further emphasizes his knack for capturing the spirit and charm of a small-town lifestyle, which comes to life across the entire album. Penned by the Arkansas native with frequent collaborators Chase McGill and Jeremy Stover, “The Worst” makes the pair of artists question whether or not living a life of wealth with a big home and technology at the palm of your hands is really better than the simpler times they remember growing up on.
Moore opens the mid-tempo tune by reflecting on how kids these days are raised in a very technologically advanced world and have a desire for high-end things, neither of which he had growing up. Despite feeling “blessed” for being able to give their kids the best, he and Houser convey the message that having to navigate through “the worst” times might actually make for a better life at the end of the day because it builds character and teaches some tough lessons. With the country singers’ authentic twang on full display, they encourage listeners to stop, take a good hard look at life, and consider what’s truly valuable at the end of the day.
“I learned from the worst/ Push mower how to make a little cash/ The worst but whoopin’ that’ll teach a boy fast/ That you better be happy with what you have/ Even if all you have is the worst/ Little house at the end of the road/ Thought I was doin’ better now I don’t know/ Maybe havin’ the best ain’t how life’s supposed to work/ ‘Cause I learned from the worst,” they deliver on the chorus.

Justin Moore
has built a loyal fanbase over the past decade with his traditional Country sound and captivating live shows. Those fans helped boost his fifth studio album, LATE NIGHTS AND LONGNECKS, to the top of the charts upon its release in July. The lead track from the Arkansas native’s LP, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” peaked at No. 1 and marked Moore’s eighth chart-topping single on both Mediabase and Billboard charts. Penned alongside Paul DiGiovanni, Chase McGill and producer Jeremy Stover, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” further proves Moore’s skills as a thought-provoking songwriter and passionate artist. His previous project, KINDA DON’T CARE, earned the singer his third consecutive No. 1 album debut and features his chart-topping singles “You Look Like I Need A Drink” and “Somebody Else Will.” It served as a follow up to his second No. 1 album release, the GOLD-certified OFF THE BEATEN PATH. Over his 10+ year career, Moore has produced eight No. 1’s including “Point at You,” “Lettin’ The Night Roll” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “Small Town USA” and “Till My Last Day” as well as seven Top 10 hits and PLATINUM-certified albums JUSTIN MOORE and OUTLAWS LIKE ME. The Valory Music Co. recording artist has earned multiple ACM, ACA and ACC Awards nominations as well as an ACM Award win. He has shared the stage with Hank Williams Jr., Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Brantley Gilbert and is currently traversing the country on headlining cities coast-to-coast. In 2020 he will kick-off his LATE NIGHTS AND LONGNECKS TOUR with Tracy Lawrence.
