Info for Abbey Road Masters: Songs of Love & Hope

I’ve always loved music, and played a load of instruments when I was young but got myself a guitar when I was about 15/16 and once I learnt a few chords I began to write songs. Since then I have never stopped writing and by the time I was 18, I knew it was something I wanted to take further. It’s always given me comfort, writing music. It kind of gets things off your chest and once it’s down it’s as if a weight has been lifted, just like talking to someone if things aren’t going great in your head.

Joel Stewart, vocals, guitar

Joel Stewart
I am a 23 year old singer songwriter from London, UK. This will be my first time visiting San Francisco. I grew up in Hertfordshire, England and have loved music from an early age. I have been playing the London circuit for the past 2 years and having recently released 2 singles, have a summer of festival appearances to look forward to. I can't wait to be in San Francisco and play some of my music for you. Here is my press release for more info :). See you soon. 2019 Press Release: The youngest of five brothers, it’s no surprise that Joel Stewart’s songwriting conveys a sense of timelessness far beyond his twenty-three years. With his sibling’s musical guidance combined with a childhood of accompanying his father’s folk band to their local pub gigs, it’s easy to hear a lifetime of influences in Stewart’s sound, who credits the likes of Sting and Bob Dylan to Rodriguez, Justin Vernon and Tallest Man On Earth as inspiration. But while his sound has roots in the past, his approach to presenting his music to the world is very much of his generation. For The Very First Time is the first track in an EPs worth of rousing folk-ballads that Stewart will be making available digitally at the beginning of 2019. Frequent gigging in London including, regular performances at Camden’s Spiritual Bar, Live from Salon Noir and Sofar Sounds among others, and with a handful of summer festival appearances already confirmed.

This album contains no booklet.
