Causes are a four-piece indie-pop band who are based in the Netherlands. The English singer-songwriter Rupert Blackman moved from London to Utrecht. Looking for band members, in 2014 he posted a message on the bulletin board of the conservatory. He came into contact with guitarist Jan Schröder, drummer Simon Boeing-Messing and bassist Robert Pronk. Causes was born and then it went very fast: the band played at festivals like Pinkpop, Lowlands and Concert At Sea and frequently toured sold-out halls at home and abroad.
