CLEANBREAK consists of powerhouse singer James Durbin and guitarist Mike Flyntz (Riot V) continuing to wave the almighty heavy metal flag.

Since their 2022 debut album 'Coming Home', CLEANBREAK has continued to craft music that pays homage to more traditional American heavy metal sounds like Riot and Fifth Angel. 'We Are The Fire,' the band's second chapter, continues that trajectory, again showing off the immense talent of both Durbin and Flyntz. They are joined by Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge of Forever, Hardline, Vanden Plas) on bass, keyboards, and backing vocals while Nicholas Papapicco (Robin McAuley, Toby Hitchcock) completes the line-up on drums. "This is a great collection of songs that I had the pleasure of singing and interpreting. Mike Flyntz is an absolute beast on guitar and it's been an honor working with him. James Durbin
is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Santa Cruz, California. Many associate his name with his appearance on Season 10 of American Idol (2011), where he was unabashedly flying the flag for heavy metal, appeared with metal gods Judas Priest for rousing renditions of "Livin' After Midnight" and "Breaking the Law" and also appeared with legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde. This was followed by Durbin’s debut album, 2011’s “Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster” that blended a mix of hard hitting riffs, vulnerable lyrics, and Durbin’s signature scream. James has worked and performed alongside many incredible musicians including Stevie Wonder, Don Was, Sheryl Crow, Tom Jones, Mick Mars, Bob Babbitt (The Funk Brothers), Alan Parsons, among many others. ​
