Info for Somewhere
Tauon aka Olaf Gretzmacher is a German producer with over 20 years of experience as can be heard on "Somewhere". He knows very well when to push the energy and when to "Calm" down. This knowledge also showed in his remixes for Thomas Lemmer and SINE.
A few of the tracks have already been released on Cosmic Chill Lounge Vol. 7 (Just Fly), Offline Vol.1 (Blessed), Spring Chill Vol. 3 (Burgeon) besides two more tracks. For "Somewhere" they were remastered and fit into the tracklist perfectly.
Tauon creates a percussive and spheric soundscape in the opening track "Arktis". The synthesizers are quite reminiscent of the now back in fashion 80's sound.
After the smooth entry Tauon pulls you into driving club vibes that run through your chest. Which sounds quite appropriate as it is the title track of the album "Somewhere".
"Lost" spreads some danceable sad summer feelings which go together very well with the cover, showing a green broadleaf forest from a bird's eye view. The eleven-track album closes with "Going Home" - a peaceful and calm piano piece.
This album offers so many moments of pure energy, relaxation, meditativeness and yet it remains danceable. Tauon's remarkable debut "Somewhere".
