Space-psychedelia guitar fantasies from the Finnish hypnomena mastermind. Pekka Laine leads a double life. There is his day job as a journalist and maker of award-winning documentary series for radio and television. Then there's the other side of him, which usually only comes out at night: as a guitarist and DIY composer. As the driving force behind The Hypnomen, a band with cult status, Laine has been exploring the world of instrumental music since the 1990s. He has now reached an important milestone in his intrepid journeys from primitive noise art to the lofty spheres of soulful psychedelia. As a result of a series of unpredictable twists and turns, Pekka Laine's first solo album was born. The making of the album was a very personal journey. It is a declaration of love to the enchanted instrument known as the electric guitar, and to the cosmic echoes that bind it to 1960s space sounds, psychedelia, dub music and weird film soundtracks into a futuristic continuum.
