Info for Blacken the Sky

Hard rock power trio Trouble County are thrilled to announce the signing with Epictronic, one of the industry’s most innovative and dynamic record labels, for the debut album “Blacken The Sky”, due for release on December 13th, 2024. This exciting partnership marks a significant milestone in Trouble County’s career and sets the stage for the release of their highly anticipated debut album. Formed in 2015, Trouble County have quickly gained a reputation for their electrifying live performances and distinctive sound. Comprising members Julian ‘Joolz’ Holman (Vocals/guitar), Mark ‘Marky Mark’ Penton (Bass guitar /Bvox) and Spencer ‘JD’ Watson (Drums/Bvox), the band have built a loyal fan base through touring their celebrated EP ‘Debt We Pay.’ ‘We are incredibly excited to join the Epictronic family’ said Joolz, lead vocalist and guitarist of Trouble County.’This partnership allows us to reach a much wider audience and share our music on a global scale. Epictronic’s vision and dedication to their artists align perfectly with what we want to achieve as a band.’ Epictronic, known for its eclectic roster and innovative approach to artist development, is equally enthusiastic about the new collaboration, ‘Trouble County embodies the spirit of Rock ‘n’ roll with their raw energy and authentic sound,’ said Carlo Bellotti, CEO of Epictronic.

"Signature middle digits at the ready...the South Coast power stoner trio roar back into the inky shadowlands with a dozen ‘fire-in-the-hole’ incendiary tracks, chock-full of their trademark riff heavy, chainsaw chopping, relentless brand of rock. Brimming with musical raw meat, this is audio for those who dance round the volcanic rim, where one wrong move could mean an eternity shared with Mr Bunsen! Brutal, menacing, brooding and dangerous would be my descriptives of the feels this album radiates, all over-arched by musicianship and songwriting of the highest quality. Stand-out toons for me include ‘John Baker’ (an epic builder, an ebb-er & flow-er with real impact), ‘Drink Some More’ (every album should have a song about falling over), ‘Awake’ (a pain-filled, bleak, relationship summariser that universally resonates) and ‘Gotta Try’ (again, a universal tale of all our stories of navigating life’s awkward moments in our own way in order just to survive). Every track on the album feels lived-in, all are of the human condition, all contain relatable elements of everyday-ism...marry those up with the quality playing on offer and you’ve got an album really going places! It’s been well worth the wait gents!" (Scott Brett, First Thoughts)
