Info zu Ponders End
Ponders End ponders the end.
The end of life, the end of relationships and the end of the world as we knew it and thought we understood it. Provoked largely by the death of Critchley’s mother, this entirely new collection of eleven songs looks hard at the skull beneath the skin and the fact of human transience.
But from death, Critchley and Simmons try to draw the breath of life and love.
These songs seek to explore the way in which music, alone of all the arts, permits us to face our greatest fears and face them down with modest, but emphatic and comic, affirmation.
Critchley & Simmons
Critchley & Simmons
not a firm of solicitors, but a gorgeous, throbbing, living experiment in words, sounds and images. A long time collaboration between musician John Simmons and philosopher Simon Critchley.
As a long-standing collaboration, Critchley & Simmons continue to push the boundaries of artistic expression, demonstrating that the fusion of music and philosophy can be a potent medium for exploring the complexities of the human condition. Their body of work stands as a testament to the enduring power of interdisciplinary collaboration, offering audiences a glimpse into a realm where sound and philosophy coalesce, creating an artistic landscape that is as intellectually stimulating as it is sonically captivating.
