Mathilde Calderini
Known for her full and velvety sound, and with a playful temperament, Mathilde Caldérini is one of the most sought-after flutists of her generation on the international scene. A multi-faceted artist, she enjoys sharing her passion for music through her activities as a soloist, orchestral musician and chamber musician.

Driven by the search for musical excellence, she won first prizes in several competitions such as the prestigious Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan, the Buffet Crampon Competition, the Lyon Chamber Music Competition and the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition with the Ouranos ensemble and wins the Best Young Hope Award from the Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition. It is also the 2012 Adami Classic Revelation of the Year.

Since 2020, Mathilde has been a supersolist flutist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. She previously held the position of flute solo of the Orchestre National de Lille.

Mathilde co-founded Ensemble Ouranos, a dynamic wind quintet and specialist in high-flying collaborations, with clarinettist Amaury Viduvier. Ensemble Ouranos was recently named Associate Artist of the Fondation Singer-Polignac and recorded its second album devoted to works for wind quintet and piano with Guillaume Vincent for the label NomadMusic.

Mathilde regularly performs alongside renowned soloists and chamber musicians such as pianist Guillaume Bellom with whom she forms a duet and interprets the great repertoire for flute and piano from the baroque period to the present day. She also performs with guitarist Gabriel Bianco, harpist Sylvain Blassel but also Aurèle Marthan, Yan Levionnois, Quatuor Hermès, Quatuor Hanson, Anaïs Gaudemard and has often shared the stage with Bertrand Chamayou, Renaud Capuçon, Xavier De Maistre, Gérard Caussé, David Grimal, Edgar Moreau...

As soloist, she is invited to perform worldwide with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, WDR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Ensemble, Hyogo Performing Arts orchestra of Osaka, Sinfonia Varsovia...

In addition to her two recordings with the Ouranos ensemble, Mathilde has recently participated in several newly realized recording projects: the solo album «Psyche» by singer Ambroisine Bré with pianist Ismaël Margain, the new works «Lovescapes» by composer Johan Farjot at Alpha, but also an unpublished recording of the works of composer Charlotte Sohy made by the Boîte à Pépite, a label and organization that highlights the unjustly forgotten composers.

Originally from Savoie, Mathilde CALDERINI began playing flute at Thonon-les-Bains and then at the Chambéry Conservatory with André Guerin. She then studied with Claude LEFEBVRE at the CRR in Paris, then with Sophie CHERRIER and Vincent LUCAS at the CNSM in Paris. She finally perfected at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William BENNETT and Samuel COLES.

Aurèle Marthan
began playing the piano at the age of four. He studied piano and chamber music at the CNSM in Paris, the Istituto Superiore di Cremona in Italy and the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he obtained his Master's degree as a soloist. He studied mainly with Denis Pascal, Maurizio Baglini and Tatiana Sarkissova, and for chamber music with Emmanuelle Bertrand, Éric Le Sage, Paul Meyer and Itamar Golan, in whose class he obtained his Master of Chamber Music at the CNSM. He continued his studies with Paul Coker at the Haute école de musique de Genève while preparing a master's degree in pedagogy.

He also took masterclasses with Pascal Devoyon and Imogen Cooper. In 2016, he was a quarter-finalist in the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition.

He performs as a soloist and chamber musician in major concert halls in France, Italy, Brussels, London and Vienna, as well as in Germany, Switzerland, South Korea and China.
