Violinist Mélanie Clapiès and cellist Yan Levionnois have released their first CD together, ‘Pierrot Lunaires’, for Fondamenta Records. This engaging and embracing selection of 20th c. works by Ligeti, Ravel, Villa-Lobos, Xenakis and Schulhoff also includes a new composition by Czech-born composer Krystof Maratka.
In addition to her current studies at the Yale School of Music, Ms. Clapiès has successfully taught at several French musical institutions. The Adami 2013 classical revelation artist, Mr. Levionnois’s first solo CD obtained the prestigious ffff from Télérama magazine.
