Eine melodische Stimme, die sehnsuchtsvolle Töne über die Schönheit Irlands anstimmt, oder der Pub-Klassiker, bei dem die Beine nicht stillstehen können – das ist Irland, wie es leibt und lebt! Die irische Musik blickt auf eine lange Geschichte zurück, wenngleich sie sich erst in den letzten hundert Jahren weltweiter Popularität erfreut. Daniel Hope und sein AIR Ensemble, bestehend aus international renommierten Musikern, mit denen er bereits mit AIR – A Baroque Journey weltweit auf Tournee war, begeben sich nun in die reichhaltige Musikwelt Irlands und gehen Mythen und Legenden der Insel und ihrer Musik auf den Grund. Für Daniel Hope ist diese musikalische Reise eng mit seiner Familiengeschichte verbunden: Sein Urgroßvater Daniel McKenna brach vor über 100 Jahren aus Irland in die Welt auf, um sein Glück zu machen. Für Hope, der bis heute neben dem deutschen einen irischen Pass hat, ist diese musikalische Entdeckungsreise damit auch eine Reise zu sich selbst.
