Auf 'Flowers At The Scene', seinem fünften Solo-Album, zeigt Tim Bowness sämtliche Facetten seines Singer-Songwriter-Art-Pop-Progs in elf neuen Songs. Diese wirken mit einer Gesamtspielzeit von 43 Minuten konzentrierter und fokussierter denn je und entwickeln sich in Kombination mit den ehrlichen, intimen Texten zu einem neuen Höhepunkt seiner bisherigen Karriere. Nicht ganz unschuldig daran, ist wohl der Umstand, dass Steven Wilson, mit dem Tim Bowness als no-man zuletzt vor über einer Dekade gemeinsam musizierte, wieder bei einem Werk von Bowness involviert war. Darüber hinaus lieferte Ko-Produzent Brian Hulse (Plenty) konstruktiven Input und die zahlreichen Gastmusiker von Peter Hammill (Van Der Graaf Generator), Andy Partridge (XTC), Kevin Godley (10cc), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Jim Matheos (Fates Warning/OSI) hin zu David Longdon (Big Big Train), dem australische Trompeter Ian Dixon sowie den Schlagzeugern Tom Atherton und Dylan Howe bereicherten das von Steven Wilson gemixte und von Steve Kitch (The Pineapple Thief) gemasterte Opus um beeindruckende Performances. Tim Bowness
Born and brought up in the North West of England, Tim Bowness started his music career in the early 1990s and is primarily known as vocalist/co-writer with the band No-Man, a long-running collaboration with Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree etc).

In addition to releasing six studio albums and a documentary DVD with No-Man, Tim has worked with popular Italian artist Alice, Mercury Prize nominated Banco De Gaia, Robert Fripp, Peter Hammill and Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera (amongst many others). He has recorded for labels including InsideOutMusic, Kscope, Mascot, Probe Plus, One Little Indian and Sony/Epic 550.
