Das von Sol Gabetta und ihrem Bruder, dem Geiger Andrés Gabetta gegründete Barock-Ensemble Cappella Gabetta hat sich binnen kurzer Zeit zu einem der besten Ensembles der Szene entwickelt. Das aus befreundeten Musikern von renommierten Ensembles wie 'Il giardino armonico', dem Kammerochester Basel u.a. bestehenden Ensemble wurde bereits für seine ersten Einspielungen für Sony Classical und dhm hochgelobt. Mit ihrem neuen Album schenken sie der Musikwelt ein besonders gelungenes Album für Advent- und Weihnachten. Auf 'Christmas Concertos' sind die zwei wohl beliebtesten italienischen Weihnachtskonzerte - von den Komponisten Corelli und Locatelli - in neuen Referenz-Aufnahmen zu hören , wobei diese geschickt mit dem Vivaldi Konzert 'Il Risposo' und stimmungsvollen weihnachtlichen Werken weniger bekannter Komponisten - der Sonate 'Pastorale' von Angelo Ragazzi, dem Concerto 'Pastorale' von Zavateri und der 'Sinfonia per il Santissimo Natale' von Valentini kombiniert wurden. Eine stimmungsvolle 'italienische' Weihnachts-Album in ansprechender Optik.
