Info for Flute Fantasia
The "hidden concept" of this album is to collect classical pieces that could be used in game music. This is the first solo album by Natsumi Sugihara, a flutist who has "loved video games" since childhood. The album includes famous pieces such as Bizet's "Carmen Interlude" and Saint-Saens' "Romance," Ravel's masterpiece "Ma mère roi," which she arranged herself, Poulenc's "The Flute Player Who Watches Over the Ruins," Barber's "Song of the Coming and Going," and the last piece, "ICO," a real game music. The last piece is a real game music "ICO". The flute and piano gently lead us into a fantasy world, and the realistic and vivid colors make our hearts flutter. As if on the composer's instructions, the time machine malfunctions and we are transported to "Inside the Dreaming of the Composers".
