Info for The Songs of Burt Bacharach

Wir hören Kultlieder wie „Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head“, „Walk on By“, „Close to You“ und viele andere.

Stina Ágústsdóttir
is one of Iceland’s best jazz artists and has made a name for herself on the Scandinavian jazz scene in the last few years. Her stunning new album is jazz re-invented through a modern feminist eye. Her new album, “Yours Unfaithfully”, is comprised of 12 experimental jazz-pop confections through which Stina gorgeously and confidently proclaims her desire for freedom from the female mundane : “ I don’t wanna stay home, make dinner and fade away”.

From the sexually emancipating pop tune “Fountains”, to the self-examining questions on “Perfect Box” (“I'm still standing in the wings, waiting for the role of my life”), Stina is ready and poised for renewed momentum with these poignant, indie-pop infused, contemporary jazz stories.

Fredrik Olsson
Minnesota-based guitarist and music student Fredrik Olsson submitted a four song demo cassette of compositions produced on his four-track recorder. The lightning fast offerings feature the use of tri tone passages ("Tri Me") and incredible displays of technique ("The Visit"), as well as demonstrate Olsson's compositional preferences and theoretical knowledge. The song "Etude Nr. I", a classical duet piece, was actually written out in its entirety before Olsson finally attempted to play it on guitar. If Olsson manages to spend an equal amount of time composing and recording as he currently spends playing guitar (up to ten hours per day), we should begin to see some fantastically creative output from this young guitar player.

Fredrick has been playing the guitar almost thirteen years. Originally from Sweden, Fredrik moved to Los Angeles in 1996 to attend the Musicians Institute. After six months at G.I.T., he moved again, this time to Minneapolis. He has been studying guitar as a student at Music Tech for the past year. His style is evolving from its metallic base towards a rock/fusion technique in the tradition of Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson and Greg Howe. Fredrik religiously practices a minimum of six hours each day at his instrument.

Jojo Djeridi
has been a professional jazz drummer since 1985. His playing style is comprised by a powerful swing, polyrhythmic escapades and a great dynamic span. He can make the drums whisper and he can make them shout.

During his career he has played with most Swedish jazz musicians. Early collaborations include saxophone players Nisse Sandström and Krister Andersson. For some 10 years he played with Maffy Falay and Bernt Rosengren at jazz club Lilla Maria in Stockholm. Later he has played with Arko Big Band with Maria Schneider as the leader.

He attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and has also studied at the New School in New York.

Currently he has a quartet in his own name featuring Krister Andersson, Lars Jansson and Palle Danielsson. He is also involved in a number of other projects.
