Nikita Volov
was born in 1992 in the city of Severodvinsk on the White Sea. His career began in Pskov, where, at the age of nine, he performed Bach’s first piano concerto as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the city of Pskov. Nikita’s musical journey has taken him to the most renowned stages worldwide, including the Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
He is also a frequent guest at international music festivals such as Liszt en Provence in France, Festival Aus den Fugen in Berlin, and the International Keyboard Institute & Festival (IKIF) in the USA.
Outstanding musicians such as Nobuko Imai, Martin Spangenberg, Matthias Höfs, Dmitri Schischkin, and Daniel Austrich are among his chamber music partners. Further engagements in his career include solo performances with various orchestras, such as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
His interpretations have been broadcast by radio stations such as NDR Hamburg, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Radio România Muzical, and BBC Radio 3.
Nikita Volov is an alumnus of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. Apart from the piano, Nikita Volov is passionate about performing and visual arts, and literature and constantly explores new concert formats.
