Norbert Leisegang
founded his first band named "Jogger" in 1978 together with his siblings. Only 3 years later it was renamed as "Keimzeit". After first playing cover versions of English Blues and Rock 'n' Roll pieces, Norbert Leisegang gradually started writing more and more own songs in German. Until today all "Keimzeit" lyrics are penned by him. In addition to being the lead singer of the band, he plays the guitar and ukulele. Since 1990 he released 10 studio records with "Keimzeit". In addition to his music, Norbert Leisegang also dedicates himself to other creative projects. In 2008, he first published a children's book with the title "Der Löwe" ("The lion"). In the same year, he became guest singer in the "Club der toten Dichter" releasing and touring with a Wilhelm Busch program. Also in 2008, he founded a label and publishing company named "Comic Helden" together with Hartmut Leisegang amongst others.
Martin Weigel
is the guitarist, singer, and youngest member of the "Keimzeit Akustik Quintett". At the age of 7 he started to take piano lessons at the "Engelbert Humperdinck" music school. Later, he switched autodidactically to the guitar. Until today, his musical ventures are manifold. Together with Christian Schwechheimer he played in the band "The Pauls" and now in "Dirty Mac". In the "Moondance - Van Morrison Project" he takes the stage with Hartmut Leisegang and enthuses the audience with his likeable personality. Since the beginning of 2012, he is accompanies the band "Keimzeit" on the guitar.
Gabriele Kienast
is passionate about playing the violin. At the age of 7 she discovered the instrument for herself. The native of Wismar attended the conservatory Schwerin and is a multiple prize-winner of the competition "Jugend musiziert". At the Rostock University of Music and Drama she studied violin and music pedagogy. Today, her repertoire ranges from classical music to Klezmer to Pop. Since 2009, Gabriele Kienast lives and works as a freelance musician in Berlin. Among others, she is a member of the "Symphonic Pop Orchestra", has an engagement at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam, and also teaches this wonderful instrument. With different ensembles, Gabriele Kienast already gave concerts in England, France, Spain, Portugal, Israel, and Switzerland..
Christian Schwechheimer
takes care of the right rhythm in the "Keimzeit Akustik Quintett" with drums, percussion instruments, and background vocals. From 1997 to 2000 he attended the "Engelbert Humperdinck" music school; then he took 4 more years of music lessons in Brandenburg with Hardi Barnewold. He is the former drummer of the bands "The Pauls" and "Excelsis Rockband". Currently, he hits the stage together with Martin Weigel in the band "Dirty Mac". Futhermore, Christian Schwechheimer is also a sought-after session musician. In recording studio productions, he works closely with Jürgen Block, the producer of the album "Midtsommer".
Hartmut Leisegang
has been the bassist of the band "Jogger" or "Keimzeit" from the very beginning. After several years of collaboration with fellow bass player Jäcki Reznicek, he now pursues an intensive musical exchange since 2011 with double-bass player Marc Mühlbauer. In addition to his work as a musician, since 2007 he teaches the bass at the "Engelbert Humperdinck" music school. Hartmut Leisegang is involved in many different music projects. He plays the bass in the band "Kaolin" with his sister Marion Bohn on the microphone. Furthermore, he performes with the band "Traven", the "Moondance - Van Morrison Project ", as well as in the oratorio for soloists, choir, band, and orchestra "Emmaus". In all cross-over projects of "Keimzeit" together with the "Deutschen Filmorchester Babelsberg", he playes the leading role on the bass.
