Biography Honeyglaze

Honeyglaze

Honeyglaze
is an indie rock trio from London, consisting of singer and guitarist Anouska Sokolow, bassist Tim Curtis and drummer Yuri Shibuichi. The band formed by chance when they met for their first rehearsal just three days before a gig at The Windmill in Brixton, a venue known for promoting up-and-coming bands. The trio quickly gained attention, including from producer Dan Carey, who subsequently took on their debut album - a blend of baroque indie-pop and soulful storytelling, with themes ranging from personal identity to introspective musings. Their music is characterised by a mixture of playful and serious tones, with influences from 80s romantics and contemporary indie acts. It is therefore not surprising that even Interpol invited Honeyglaze as a special guest. ‘Real Deal’ is their second album. It deals with the return to normal life, acceptance, self-confidence, the search for connection and finding solace in chaos.
