Gerardo Del Monte
Jazz pianist and composer, he began studying classical piano, solfeggio, theory and harmony, at the age of six with M° Mario Torosantucci, continuing until the age of 18.

He had his first artistic experiences as a keyboardist and pianist in Pop/Blues music projects, Italian and foreign, and in the Army Band as first transverse flute (performing at the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome, Piazza del Duomo Milan, Piazza del Popolo Rome).

Since 2007 he has approached the study of Jazz and Blues.

Since 2014 he has been a student at the Saint Louis Academy in Rome with M° Ettore Carucci, Simone Maggio, Maurizio Giammarco, Claudio Colasazza.

He has participated in numerous courses and masterclasses of Jazz specialization with the masters: Barry Harris, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Bollani, Scott Free, Enrico Pieranunzi, Mark Harris, Gianni Lenoci, Mario Totaro (Contemporary piano), Roberto Cacciapaglia.

Winner and participant in the piano competitions/festivals: Pianoforte Sostenibile, Naturalmente Pianoforte, Piano City Milano, Piano City Napoli, Semifinalist in the National Competition Premio Vittoria Rotary.

He has collaborated and played with: Paolo Fresu, Placido Domingo Jr, Michael Rosen, John Arnold, Vinson Johnson, Adam Pache, Pietro Ciancaglini, Gegé Munari, Nicola Mingo, Alfredo Romeo, Raffaele Filaci, Dino Gubinelli, Emiliano Ottaviani.

In 2017, among the various projects, he founded the trio Thieves and Poets Project from which the first unpublished work entitled "Garbata Casualità" was born.
